Aw we reflect back on this year, we can't help but be affected some how by the war in Iraq and the devastation of the Asian tsunami tragedy as well as the untimely loss of members of our own Fox Chase Soccer Club. The world seems to be in a state of chaos and just watching the news on television can be overwhelming or even down right depressing.
So, it is important especially in these times to look for the good - the good in each of us as individuals, the good in one another and the good in our community. To see some of the good in our community, please just take a moment to look at the front cover of the banquet booklet. The cover reveals pictures of a joint effort by coaches, players and parents who volunteered to raise $6,066.70 for the American Red Cross/Tsunami Relief Effort. You'll see pictures of our 4 year old Futures Program children, Home League players, Travel players and our Fox Chase Soccer Alumni. The Club has been blessed with continued growth as a soccer program as well as with our volunteers who have continued to step up and assist us in this growth.
I am inexpressibly grateful to all of the Fox Chase Soccer Club board members, coaches, players, parents, volunteers and our local politicians who, by their support, time and effort have allowed the Club to bring good things to our Fox Chase Community. It has been a privilege to work with these people to serve you.
