COACHES:
Any teams wishing to play indoor soccer for Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation need to let me know
NO LATER THAN Friday November 1st via Email: tcorabi@yahoo.com
If you tell me after that..you can't do it
Please If you are playing "rec" outdoor soccer....just tell me yes or no for indoor.
If you are playing ICSL or UJSL outdoor soccer..I need your
your name,
team name,
age group,
level (A or B)
mailing address
phone number
assistant coach/manager email, address and phone #
and any special HOME scheduling concerns (see below)
Once you email me, I’ll tell you if I am missing any information from you for your application.
HOME GAMES are ALWAYS Sundays. Earliest slot is usually 12:00pm. We have gym
budget permitting until 6:00pm. The league "BLOCKS" the games so if you have a special request, it MIGHT NOT be able to be honored and times can change the week prior
Teams may split their outdoor team into 2 teams IF space permits.
Preference goes to older teams for split squads.
Coaches alternate supervision of gym..more details as we approach indoor season.
General Information for your consideration:
LEAGUE FEE= $150.00 per/team.
Ref Fees = $32.00 per/game, which is $16.00 per/team/per/game
GAMES BEGIN Wednesday January 2, 2012
GAME DAYS:
HOME = Sundays
AWAY= Weeknights 5:30 or later (older teams may begin as late as 9:30pm)
Saturdays and Sundays (as early as 8:00am, as late as 9:30pm)

weekly update:
Indoor information coming VERY soon....I have a meeting next Thursday. I thought it was 10/11 but is actually 10/18
Keep you all posted
Monthly meetings:
Please make sure to end a representative from your team (if not you or an assistant coach, then a parent) to all of the Fox Chase meetings. They are mandatory yet many of you do not come. There is a proposal on the table to take away allotments from teams such as ref fees if you do not attend the monthly meetings.
Please note that attendance at 10 meetings (there is no meeting in February) gives your team $100 stipend

PHILADELPHIA DEPARTMENT of PARKS and RECREATION
WEEKLY UPDATE:
This week is Columbus Day weekend. The league does not have any originally scheduled games (although a few make up gaems are being played...I am not aware of any Fox Chase team in these games). If you are playing in a tournament, good luck! If not, have a nice weekend "off".
indoor
I have a meeting Thursday for the city regarding Indoor Soccer. Long story short, you may have heard Bill Costello has been meeting with Mr. Comas from the rec concerning the gym times we will have for both our home league play and travel games. It is a tough situation with no clear answers right now.
That said, Rec indoor soccer is the best value of any indoor league. The last several years, it's been just $150 per team U8-U16...
It is "wall" soccer which is fast pace and often aggresive. Some of the gyms are small and some of the teams play in rough neighborhoods. The refs are what they are.
If you want a touchline/futsol small sided outdoor simulated experience..rec is not for you. If you want all of your games at one location, rec is not for you. If you you want in-expensive, fast paced, wall style indoor games for a relatively in-expensive price
Rec is for you.
Following the meeting I have to attend next week, I will ask for your commitment. Talk with your coaching staff, players and parents.
Hopefully Mr. Comas and Mr. Costello will be able to work out appropriate times for us to continue to use our gym for home games.

weekly update:
1) In case you missed it, the league's website has been moved to www.pprsoccer.com The standings will be updated on it every Friday (sometimes thursday night)
2) The weather hotline for weekend games = 215-685-2229
DO NOT CALL Fox Chase playground or the Fox Chase soccer hotline. The league will determine if games will be played or not.
If fox chase closes the fields for weekend games but the league says games are on (not likely but IF it happens), assume your game is going to be played, The Referee will determine field playability. (Fox Chase Soccer club permits out a REC center field so the Rec department determines if rec games are played or not on it. This has only been an issue 1 day for 3 games in 11 years I've volunteered at Fox Chase)
If Fox chase closes the fields for WEEK NIGHT re-scheduled games, the field is closed....NOTIFY your age group director and the other team's coach.
3) Remember to report scores to your age group director..I do not need them
4) All-star games....you should have given your players names by now . Games schedules are listed on the webiste for next Tuesday and Wednesday
5) Columbus Day weekend? if you ARE NOT playing in a tournament and need field time for a make up game or TBA game, our fields are basically open the entire time. The leagues do not schedule games for that weekend. Maybe a possibility if the other team is not playing in a tournament either and they can get an official?
6) This week's schedule at home (be sure to see Marc's email about field set up too)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please be advised that Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Soccer (Indoor & Outdoor) has a NEW Web Site - it can be found at:
While this site still is under "construction" all need Outdoor Information is available - we hope to have the site finalized shortly.
Regarding Lineup Sheets - please go to your Team Page at "epysa.com" to print out your game day lineup sheet - you must have these at each game as well as your player passes.
Thank you,

Hi everyone
1) everyone should be printing their lineups from epysa database. To add numbers, simply go to a player and edit the information.
2) For new coaches: bring to your games this weekend
your lineups (there should be 3 line up sheets per printed page) filled out player passes

Mike will give you ref money at the next meeting if you are entitled to it and all your players are registered and paid up.
It doesn't hurt to have copies of the Rg-6s with you too
3) player adds Thursday. I am out of blank passes. the league is mailing me some. Maybe Joe Munizza has some

weekly update:
Hey coaches! Happy almost end of summer (ugh).
I hope all of you either registered by now or are planning on going tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything. I was happy to answer several questions earlier and also fic 2 problems with the league's help.
As you get your schedules, please forward a copy via email to me and Mike Lingerman
To date, I received only 1 schedule but that's okay because most of you won't get them until Thursday or Friday of this week.
They may very well be coming via email because the city no longer wants to use U.S. Postal mail when it can avoid it due to costs.
Please check your email daily if you don't now.
FOX CHASE SOCCER CLUB:
Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation report: 7/11/2012
Hello coaches/managers:
REPORT:
ATTACHED, please find a report presented at the monthly coaches meeting with important information. Please download and read it. Save it for your records
the report includes very important information about registration
INFO needed:
I need some specific information from a few coaches so I will send you separate emails and call you today/tomorrow if you don't reply.
EPYSA DATA BASE NOTES:
If you have not yet gone on EPYSA's site and completed your risk management form AND created a team, you're late. You do not have to enter player data yet but it doesn't hurt
That said, for teams who competed as travel last year, you can import you entire team. If you need help, contact me (email = this one, cell = 215-901-7212)
It is a good idea if you have the capability to upload a colored face picture of each of your players. You may do this by using the player edit button.
Also...I noticed that ALL PLAYERS imported from got soccer are missing parental contact names. You must go in and edit each player's name.
FIELD TIMES:
Below are a list of available HOME field times for the U9-U16 teams. Our boys time slot is 3:00pm. We have access to both the upper and lower field so we'll be fine with only 3 teams.
Girls teams: if you care and have a specific request because you know of players involved in other activities such as CCD, church, dance, fall baseball, etc....let me know NOW or deal with players missing. The league has instructed it's schedule makers to NOT change any games this year.
Available Sunday times:
9:00am
10:30am
12:00pm
1:30pm
3:00pm
There is also a 4:30pm slot but only through the 2nd week in October due to sunset.
Let me know if you have a preference NOW please.
Thanks. As always, if you need any help, please let me know
